Six members of The Fountains journeyed to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico, in February for another 1Mission Build over a weekend. It was another amazing 2 1/2 day Build for the Gonzales-Garcia Family, Mom, Dad and three children ages 4, 8, and 14. The new addition was two bedrooms for the two elder youngsters, who had been sleeping on the floor in their existing home.
Larry and Pat Presley-Spade, Steve and Debi Metro, Scott Rastatter and Sharon Shaw Elrod made the trip. When they arrived, they discovered this family needed beds to sleep in, so in addition to building the 12′ x 24′ structure, they went to the local Bodega and bought two beds and bedding for the new rooms. The family was tearfully overjoyed with the gifts… and The Fountains members participating felt a sense of joy and gratitude for the privilege of helping this family.
The next Build will be in the fall. All Fountains members who are interested in joining the expedition may contact Sharon (sharelrod43@gmail.com) for more information.
