Can you imagine what it would be like to be homeless in Phoenix in the summer?!
AZ Faith Network, AZ Maricopa Association Of Governments, and ASU are sponsoring “Cooling stations.” The Fountains will be collecting donations of bottled water, Coleman ½ gallon jugs and items for personal care/hygiene kits as an ongoing project. We will be delivering these items to the cooling station at The First UCC in Phoenix, located at 1407 N. 2nd St.
Items needed for the hygiene kits are:
• Wash cloth
• travel size – soap
• travel size – shampoo
• travel size – conditioner
• travel size – body lotion
• travel size – deodorant
• travel size – toothpaste
• tooth brush
• comb
• granola bars
• nail file
• band-aids
* small packages of tissues
* small packages of Wet Ones
* Socks
You can deliver items to the Fountains UMC on Sunday mornings from 9am to 11am or contact DeDe Rudolphy by private message to arrange a pick-up.
